A song for my mother

I look upon a rainbow
I see stars are shining
I say good bye to a friend, the sun

I look upon a rainbow
I say to my mother
Is it close to seeing God soon?

I look upon a rainbow
I wish upon a star
And say good bye.

What a poem! Kinda Victorian. Love the approximate rhyme (sun, soon.) Give the little poet a great big kiss from Grandma.

Dear Katie ~ What a beautiful poem! Give your dad a Big Big hug from me. I know he is lonely for your Mommy. Have a fun Sunday!
